Description

Every year on the second Saturday in January, a special highpoint of mining life draws visitors to the only mountain church in Saxony. The yearly mountain church service in the St. Marien Mountain Church at the Annaberg Market is a tradition for the miner's union "Glück auf" Frohnau/Annaberg-Bucholz e.V., the musicians of the Mountain Chapel Frohnau/Annaberg-Bucholz e.V., and the Delegation of Partner Miner's Associations of the Ore Mountains.
The mountain church service is carried out in accordance with old miner's customs.
