Christmas is the most exciting time for children. Our elf services are a great source of fun and excitement for the little ones. It is here that Santa Claus answers wish lists himself, we bake delicious cookies together, we create beautiful presents for Mom and Dad, and we take rides on ponies, the carousel, or the kids' train. Since last year, the elf stollen developed especially for children has given them a place where they can sit comfortably and take a lunch break together while feeling as if they were in a mine. Santa's industrious helpers will also make sure that the big guests are taken care of. An in-house gift wrapping service and repair shop, where you can have your Ore Mountain wooden artwork repaired, will take care of the work for you for the Christmas season so you don't have to.
Elf Craft Room
All industrious elf children are welcome in the elf craft room. At a small charge to cover materials and with a little skill at handicrafts, many beautiful and amusing things can be made with supervision. Elf Post Office
You don't necessarily have to go to Himmelstadt or Himmelpfort in order to mail your wish list to Santa Claus. There is a very special elf post office at the Annaberg Christmas Market. Here everyone big and small can send Santa Claus their wish list and rest assured that it will arrive. The letters are delivered to a shelf, where the parents can pick them up. Adults can also use the elf post office if they wish to. They can purchase cards and letters here and send a very special Christmas greeting into the great wide world postmarked from the Annaberg Christmas Market.
Elf Turning School
The Breitfeld Turnery from Annaberg has created an Elf Turning School especially for the Annaberg Christmas Market. 2 new wood turning lathes were built for this very purpose. Outfitted with an apron and safety glasses and under the direction of a professional, children 7 years of age and older that are at least 1.20 m (3 ft 11 in) tall can try their hand at turning and let the shavings fly. Small luminaries can be created and taken home afterwards. Every child will receive a certificate of participation.
Elf Bakery
Oh it smells so good, it smells so fine Today we're mixing dough for cookies of mine... The elf bakery opened its doors for the first time at the Annaberg Christmas Market in 2007 and is sure to bring joy to the lives of countless children this year as well. Here you can try your hand at kneading, shaping, cookie cutting, and decorating gingerbread or shortbread dough. After the cookies are baked, children get to take "their" cookies home with them to surprise their parents, since parents have no business being in the bakery anyway. The Christmas bakery offers space for 15 girls and boys. Groups and school classes must register ahead of time at tel. 03 73 3 / 1 94 33.
Elf Riding School
The ponies of the elf riding school have their own barn. Weather permitting, children can ride through the streets of Buchholz on the backs of our four-legged friends.
