Ore Mountains & the Czech Republic
Ore Mountains
The Ore Mountain region offers you the opportunity to discover its landscape year-round on foot, with a bike, or using historic transportation.
Whether you're hiking the ridgeway, conquering the Stonemann Miriquidi with a mountain bike, or enjoying a ride powered by steam, this region will open up completely new perspectives for you. Even families with children will have a hard time getting bored in the Ore Mountains.
In addition to the Tourist Information Center, the Ore Mountains Tourism Association (Tourismusverband Erzgebirge) is also a possible point of contact. You can find further information on leisure time activities here.
Czech Republic
After the border to the Czech Republic was opened, the Ore Mountain area has grown together with this neighboring country bit by bit. Whether engaging in winter sports in Klivonec (Keilberg), spending time in the magnificent zoo park of the Annaberg-Buchholz partner city Chomutov (Komotau), visiting the healing spa district of the time-honored bath city Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary), or taking a look at one of the many Bohemian palaces - there's a little something waiting to be experienced by tourists beyond the ridge of the Ore Mountains.
